"Wearing a hat or fascinator has become something many of us seldom do, in this day and age. Some ladies embrace the opportunity with gusto whilst others are really imitidated and overwhelmed by the prospect. Either way, don't worry! I'm here to help and guide you through the selection and design process.
Hatinators, what are they? I define them as large headpieces without the brim and crown of a traditional hat. They make perfect accessories for Ladies Day at the races or for Mothers of the Bride and wedding guests.
Fascinators, what are they? For me they are small cocktail hats, percher hats, and decorative head pieces created from a wide range of fabrics. Whilst smaller than “Hatinators” I still think they should be bold enough to impress.
What is a “Saucer Hat”? I don’t think the term really exists but it is often what people ask for so I’m trying to keep things simple. It is a disk hat, sometimes mounted on a small base.
