Let's talk - Royal wedding style
This time last week there was a particularly high profile wedding you may have been aware of. I like countless others, sat with friends watching the sea of guests arriving in all their assorted finery. I'd fully intended to run a social media "commentary" on best dressed but in the event, I wanted to enjoy the day in the moment, rather than miss it by over complicating things. There is a lot to be said for this "unplugged" wedding thing.
This post could go on forever so I'll keep it to top 3's.
Who got it right?
For me these ladies nailed the modern summer wedding vibe. Colourful, appropriately demure but still fashionable and chic.

These 3 ladies are undeniably stylish and do look great, but for me just a little off perfect. Perhaps the navy was too sombre, Amal regularly looked ill at ease and adjusting her outfit, something you often see when the wearer is not 100% happy and I just can't decide about the lilac.

Safe but stylish...
Not sure if "Safe" is the right word as it sounds critical. What I mean is impeccable, appropriate, demure, tasteful, perfectly considered but not intended to steal the show. That said, it is the bride who should do that, nobody else.

Style and sass - "Here come the girls"...
These three ladies strutting to the chapel truly represented the Hollywood element of this event, they all looked fabulous!

I don't want this to turn into a bitchfest, in another context they'd all look great so I'll keep it brief. The first outfit is highly inappropriate for a Royal occassion, way too much skin. That hat! Great for Ascot but this lady was attending a Royal wedding, it stuck out like a sore thumb as the camera panned inside the church. The last outfit was inoffensive but just not up to the formality of the occasion and the fascinator was just too ordinary.

These ladies all dressed with confidence, style and individuality. They owned their design choices and appeared self assured and comfortable in what must have been quite an intimidating setting. Kitty Spencer particularly looked utterly stunning.

Which or who, would be your top 3?
